The firm has represented a huge number of clients before the Family Courts in divorce (khula) proceedings, proceedings for maintenance and proceedings for child custody.
The firm has also represented its clients in appellate proceedings before the High Courts in appeals against orders and judgments of the Family Courts.
We have also helped a number of clients in their out-of-court divorce proceedings. This usually involves negotiating and drafting an agreement and deed of divorce (talaq) and after the agreement and/or deed are signed, notifying the local union council about the divorce.
Each case before the Family Court is unique, with its own set of strengths and weaknesses and we understand the emotions that more often than not accompany such proceedings, and we strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
